South Park Season 7

Another excellent season of South Park and as with previous seasons, it just gets better. Season 6 was the last season I had seen in entirety, so it was nice to see some episodes I had never seen before. There's a good mix between the completely ubsurd and the introduction of a new technique whereby the show takes a hot topic issue, splits the town in half on it and resolves it by saying that everyone should find some middle ground and that the solution isn't simply black and white. Top notch comedy.

South Park Season 6

I've now finished watching another great season of South Park, highlights from this series include a Lord of the Rings parody, the Death Camp of Tolerance and a Black Hawk Down homage featuring Santa's sleigh being taken out by an RPG over Baghdad.

With Kenny's permanent death at the end of Season 5, the boys have to find a replacement for him and a number of other characters step in, including quite a lot of Butters.

Again Trey Parker and Matt Stone show that they can create comedy which covers all bases from gross out to social commentary. Both utterly stupid and clever at the same time.

South Park Season 5

Just worked my way through South Park Season 5. Some classic episodes in there, including the introduction of Towelie and Butters' own episode. I think this was where South Park became a bit more serious and a bit more wacky. On to Season 6 soon.

South Park Season 4

Well I've worked my way through another South Park box set and I have to say, Season 4 has to be the best season yet. The introduction of Timmy, some great episodes like the South Park one, the Terminator/Akira/2001 spoof episode and the Great Expectations re-telling were all pretty good and even the token Mr. Hankey Christmas episode wasn't too bad.

From what I remember things only get more ridiculous from here on in, so here's looking forward to Season 5.

South Park Season 3

With no new Lost, the end of The Shield and having watched all the Scrubs available, I've been catching up on South Park, going back to the start and watching them in sequence.

I've just finished Season 3, which is probably the best I've watched so far, the 17 episodes contain some classics such as Chinpokomon where the kids become obsessed with the latest craze in toys "Gotta buy them all"; Korn's Groovy Pirate Ghost mystery sees a cameo appearance from Korn in a Scooby Doo influenced episode and Starvin' Marvin in Space sees the foursome travel to an alien planet where the sentient life forms that inhabit it have only one word for all people, places and things - Marklar.

All in all, South Park Season 3 is pretty stupid and has some weird stuff, but it is still relatively sane compared to the later seasons.

Overall - 4/5
